"Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."

Rumi

I believe that...

What holds most people back in life is fear, doubt, and a lack of self-confidence.

If we all loved ourselves a little more and shared that love with others, the world would be a much better place.

*

The smallest act of kindness can have a huge impact on someone’s life.

*

Cheese dip and margaritas can turn any day around.

*

Change & uncertainty can be terrifying but taking the leap can be so freeing.

*

Many of us let fear guide our lives.

The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. What have you been telling yourself lately?

Get to Know Me

I have always been a helper. Every personality test, whether it’s the Myers-Briggs or “What type of pasta are you” on Buzzfeed says the same thing: you are a healer, empathetic, able to connect with people easily, a good communicator, always looking for the good in everyone, you strive to create harmony in the world and see people for who they can become.

Having a strong sense of who I was as a person, but not clear about what I wanted to do with my life, it made sense to take my education in a direction that would lead me toward helping others. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, learning as much as possible about human behavior, emotions, and needs.

After working in the counseling field for several years, I wasn't feeling confident about what I was doing and in my personal life, things were changing. I was feeling burned out, so I decided to start exploring alternative career options, where I could still work one-on-one with people on improving their lives, but outside of the counseling field. That's when I stumbled upon a job working at a higher education coaching company and coaching itself. I left therapy behind me and dove head first into the world of coaching - learning everything I could and quickly realized it was exactly what I was looking for! The rest is history - for the past six years I’ve helped others embark on their own life changing journeys and loved every minute of it!

The feeling I get when I see a working mother of 3, who has returned to college after 12 years, graduate with her degree - or when a 20 year old client has that "ah-ha" moment realizing that she can push through any challenge because she has the skills to be successful on her own - that's how I know I'm using my gift to make the world a better place. Helping others to find what makes their hearts happy causes a ripple effect in the lives of others and keeps spreading out into the world.

That's what it's all about. That one interaction, that one "aha" moment that can change everything for the better. What's going to be your "aha" moment?

What is coaching?

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Coaching can be helpful for almost anyone! That said, it is an investment of time, energy, and money - an investment in yourself. I hope that anyone who books a coaching session with me is committed to work on their own growth and development. If you aren't totally committed yet because you're still not sure you totally understand what coaching is about, let's talk. Fill out the contact form letting me know that you'd like to schedule a short, free consultation call. When we connect, we'll talk about what you're looking for, what my coaching looks like, and decide if it sounds like a good fit for you!

What are your qualifications?

I’m going to let you in on a little secret - anyone can call themselves a coach. There’s no national or state level education or credentialing required to provide coaching services. I want you to be a fully informed consumer - and that’s a huge part of coaching as well - my job is to make sure you are aware of all the options in front of you, but you are the one that ultimately makes any decision - you hold the responsibility for your life. You are empowered!

I tell you this little secret because being the best coach for you that I can possibly be is very important to me. That’s why I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and that’s also why I completed my Board Certified Coach certification - to let you know that as I ask you to be committed to your own change and journey - that I am committed to this as well and putting in the work to go the extra mile. This, among other things, make my offerings as a Coach, unique.

I have worked full-time as a personal coach for a coaching company for the past 6 years where I am an InsideTrack certified Coach and Coach Observer focused on developing quality coaching.

I am also a certified Heart-Magnet Coach through the Institute for Life Coach Training and a Certified Life Coach through the Behavioral Health & Leadership Dynamics Training Institute.
